Dr Elizabeth Hardy is a Shakespeare Scholar, a RADA trained actress and a local lass, who was educated at Stratford Girls' Grammar School and earned her PhD from the Shakespeare Institute. She has taught Shakespeare at the two grammar schools in Stratford and has written and directed two Shakespeare inspired shows at what is now The Rother Street Arts House.

On Tuesday March 10th at 7.30pm in the Methodist Hall (opposite Holy Trinity Church) she will share her thoughts about Ellen Terry's passionate 'personations' of Shakespeare's female roles, and the evidence they give us of the scope these characters have offered actresses,

to perform an extraordinary kind of presence in contexts of varying personal freedoms for women.

She will be joined by actors Ann Mulraine and Paul Curran, who in Terry's collaborative spirit, will share the voices of Terry herself and her critics and admirers.
